The World of Chuen

Set in the jungle of Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula, The World of Chuen transports players deep into the heart of the Mayan culture and mythology. In this videogame, Chuen, the Mayan symbol of creativity, combats evil Laziness, a formidable adversary that seeks to stifle creativity and drain the vibrant energy of the Mayan world.

The World of Chuen features two gameplays ⎯ Escaping the Mayab and The Magician ⎯ where players help Chuen defeat Laziness and restore the balance of creativity in the jungle while earning points, badges, and items to decorate Chuen’s house. Are you up to the challenge?

Chuen is a multidisciplinary and multiplatform movement: the fusion of tradition with avant-garde, the regional with the global, and the artisanal with technology. This movement was founded to be a space for the dissemination of arts and culture and to create a place for expression and imagination. With printed and digital books, mobile videogames, and literacy workshops, Chuen is a transmedia project that represents a moment of creativity and magic.
